WETT™ is our proprietary water treatment system that can treat oily water and blackwater onboard.

Terragon has developed the highly innovative WETT™-O (Wastewater Electrochemical Treatment Technology for Oily Water), the first Type Approved electrochemical treatment system for marine oily bilgewater. WETT-O uses a novel, compact and efficient electrochemical coagulation reactor to separate nearly all oil and grease from bilgewater. The WETT-O system consists of a compact free oil separator (FOS) and a proprietary electrochemical purification technology (EC) with state-of-the-art laser-induced fluorescence oil-content monitor (OCM) certified for compliance with 46 CFR 162.050 for use in areas with the strictest discharge limits.

WETT-O is a great solution for treatment of water with free and emulsified oils, grease, heavy metals, suspended solids, organics, bacteria, detergents, phosphorus, and more.

KEY FEATURES OF WETT-O:
- Treatment performance unaffected by ship motions.
- Self-cleaning capability is standard. Routine maintenance takes less than 30 minutes every 1 to 3 months.
- Push button start-up and shutdown for easy, ‘hassle-free’ operation.
- Generates half the sludge of oily water separators using chemical coagulants.
- Can be used with a Clean Water Holding Tank as presented in MEPC.1/Circ.642, to decouple treatment from discharge for greater operational flexibility.
